WHITTIER – The Whittier Union High School District is seeking input from parents, students, teachers, staff and other key stakeholders within the school community as the Board of Trustees prepares to select a new executive leader.

Participants are invited to submit input on the professional and personal qualities, skills and abilities they value most in Whittier Union’s next superintendent through a survey available at www.surveymonkey.com/r/H8LV8RS through Friday, Jan. 29.

The survey is also available in Spanish at www.surveymonkey.com/r/FH33NLW.

The input will aid the board as it deliberates next steps in choosing a new superintendent, educate the individual chosen about the values and expectations of stakeholders and provide critical guidance toward the selection of a superintendent who can maintain and build on the District’s successes.

Anonymous submissions will not be accepted. Submissions that include names of recommended candidates will also be disqualified.

The Board will gather additional input from community members and stakeholders during an input session from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2 in the District board room. No decisions will be made during this special board meeting. The Board will discuss written comments and debrief the oral comments in a closed session meeting following the session and deliberate on next steps.

The Board is expected to decide its next steps – including the potential selection of a superintendent – during its regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

The survey link is also available on the WUHSD Facebook page at www.facebook.com/wuhsd and on the District website at www.wuhsd.org.
