WHAT: The Lynwood Unified School District is delighted to invite the community to celebrate Marco Antonio Firebaugh High School’s 10th anniversary with a full program of activities showcasing the great work of the students on the campus Friday night.

The school will honor many top students with scholarships as part of the event. The evening will also feature music performed by student bands, a student art show, a resource fair and speakers. Light appetizers and refreshments will be served.

The school, named for the former state assemblyman from the 30th District who was a great advocate of education, continues to push its students with a rigorous curriculum including the International Baccalaureate Programme, Advanced Placement and Honors courses.

Students that have graduated from Firebaugh have gone on to universities such as UCLA, UC San Diego, USC, Cal State Dominguez Hills, UC Irvine, Cal State L.A. and the Fashion Institutes of Design and Merchandising.
