WHAT: Ten short films made by approximately 60 students from Firebaugh and Lynwood high schools will be showcased during the fourth annual Lynwood Unified School District Film Festival. The students produced the films through a partnership between the District and Southern California Crossroads’ film clubs. Crossroads is an after school and Saturday program.

The students worked in groups to produce 10 films, including one about the power of words. They chose Nelson Mandela, the late President of South Africa and anti-apartheid activist, who said, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.”

Students will receive certificates for participating in the club.
