WHAT: Celebrated actor Tony Plana, known for his roles on “Madam Secretary,” “Ugly Betty,” and “¡Three Amigos!,” will attend
San Ysidro School District’s upcoming “Beyond the Bell Broadway” musical theater performance, featuring nearly 100 students from six SYSD schools.

“Beyond the Bell” is provided through a partnership with East Los Angeles Classic Theatre (ELACT) company, of which Plana is
co-founder and executive artistic director.

WHERE: Dr. Maida Torres-Stanovik Performing Arts Center at San Ysidro High School, 5353 Airway Road, San Diego, CA 92154

San Ysidro School District Superintendent Julio Fonseca is also available to discuss the District’s partnership with ELACT as part of a broader effort to provide visual and performing arts opportunities to students.
