WHAT: El Monte City School District will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new 8,552-square-foot Professional Development Center, which will provide teachers with a state-of-the-art learning space to aid them in the creation of innovative instructional materials for District students. The event will feature a musical performance from students in Potrero School’s Mariachi Program and student-led tours of the building.

The building, funded through the community-adopted Measure M, will provide three rooms equipped with projectors, podiums and sound systems for training programs. It will also be the new site for the District’s Board of Education meetings.
