WHAT: Approximately 350 students from Santa Fe School will participate in a special event celebrating their strong behavior, the first such celebration under the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports program.

The celebration is called a 3Be Event because the students met school expectations to be safe, be respectful and be responsible. The event will include a scavenger hunt that will end with a water balloon battle, an obstacle course, cookie decorating and face painting.

WHEN: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10

WHERE: Santa Fe School, 4650 Baldwin Park Blvd., Baldwin Park

DETAILS: Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports is a discipline system that encourages good student behavior as a tool to improve academic success. The program is implemented over a three-year period. After implementation, school leaders work to reinforce positive behaviors among students. The 3Be event is the first of three such events Santa Fe plans to hold this year. The next two will be Feb. 24, 2017 and May 24, 2017.

Coverage and/or inclusion of this event in your calendar of events is welcome and greatly appreciated.
