WHAT: Baldwin Park Unified will host its annual Relay For Life fundraiser, a cancer-awareness event in which participating individuals and teams take turns walking a track for 24 hours event in which participating individuals and teams take turns walking a track for 24 hours.

WHERE: Baldwin Park High School, 3900 N. Puente Ave., Baldwin Park

DETAILS: The Relay for Life is an international event organized by the American Cancer Society and staged locally by different agencies. More than 4 million people in over 20 countries participate. At Baldwin Park Unified, it switches annually between Baldwin Park High and Sierra Vista High. Since 2010, the annual event has raised $321,000 to fund cancer research and accommodations for cancer patients who must travel away from home for treatment.
