WHAT: Nearly 100 students and staff members of Abbott Elementary will showcase artwork throughout the walls of the school’s campus in celebration of its participation in the Turnaround Arts: California program. The Inside Out Project will make a visual statement about the school’s commitment to leveraging the arts for educational equity.

Abbott was accepted into the Turnaround Arts program in summer 2018, providing teacher training, a regional coach to facilitate Abbott’s strategic arts plan and coordinated support for public arts events.
Participants in the Inside Out Project will “activate” exterior campus walls using a photo booth truck and black-and-white portraits.

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 31

WHERE: Abbott Elementary School
5260 Clark St.
