WHAT: San Gabriel Unified high school seniors will walk the halls of Coolidge Elementary clad in caps and gowns as part of the school’s first Senior Walk, giving soon-to-be grads the chance to thank their former teachers and motivate younger students.

Gabrielino High School and Del Mar High School seniors will walk with Coolidge Elementary fifth-graders in a “clap out” after their promotion ceremony. Coolidge students, parents and staff will applaud the promoted fifth-graders and soon-to-be graduates as they walk through the school one last time.

DETAILS: The senior walk aims to remind young students of what they can achieve and kicking off the District’s commencement festivities.

Gabrielino High School’s graduation will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 at Santa Anita Park, 285 Huntington Drive, San Gabriel. Del Mar High School’s ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 7 at Gabrielino High’s Goodson Theatre, 1327 S. San Gabriel Blvd., San Gabriel.
