Río Hondo College To Host Art Showcase for Alumna
WHAT: Río Hondo College will welcome back alumna Danie Cansino, artist and adjunct professor at the USC Roski School of Art and Design, for a solo art show at the Río Hondo College Art Gallery.
The show is titled “Despuès: A collection of works by Danie Cansino” and will feature ChicanX/LatinX-inspired imagery based on her personal experiences, rendered in bold chiaroscuro oil paintings on wood and ballpoint pen drawings on loose-leaf paper mounted to panel.
WHEN:
Opening reception ceremony: 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7.
Gallery hours: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2 to Thursday, March 2
