Rio Hondo College Invites Community to First Homecoming Celebration in 22 Years
WHAT: Rio Hondo College will hold its first Homecoming Celebration in 22 years with events honoring both academic and sports programs.
The free program is presented by the Rio Hondo College Foundation.
Programs feature alumni receptions by the nursing and police programs, food and fun activities for the campus community and free tickets to the Rio Hondo College men’s basketball game against Cerritos College.
WHEN: 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11
WHERE: 3600 Workman Mill Road, Whittier
TIMES AND LOCATIONS:
- 3 to 5 p.m.: Nursing Program Alumni Open House, Science Building, Room 206
- 3 to 5 p.m.: Police Academy Reunion, Administration of Justice Building
- 4:30 to 6 p.m.: Food, fun activities, gymnasium
- 6 to 8 p.m.: Basketball game, gymnasium
DETAILS: Rio Hondo College’s homecoming is intended as a way for alumni and current students to connect, share stories and build community. The event is offered free to the community by the Rio Hondo College Foundation, which raises thousands of dollars each year for student scholarships and other support programs.
