Río Hondo College Hosts ‘A Taste of Río’ to Raise Funds for Students
WHAT: Community members can experience the vibrant spirit of Río Hondo College during the annual “A Taste of Río” celebration.
The event, hosted by the Río Hondo College Foundation, is an evening of culinary delights, fine wine and craft beer, captivating entertainment and a silent auction – all with the objective of raising funds for scholarships, programs and equipment to support Río Hondo College students.
Among the distinguished guests expected to attend are Assemblymember Lisa Calderon, Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis and Whittier Mayor Joe Vinatieri, as well as local elected Board members and Río Hondo College leaders.
Entertainment will be provided by the Heavens to Betsy band, DJ Emiliano Miranda and guitarist Daniel Vera.
WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, June 9. VIP preview begins at 5 p.m.
