WHAT: Bradoaks Elementary students will put science to the test as Monrovia firefighters, perched atop their fire engine

ladder, drop pumpkins – some carved, some not – to determine which can generate the largest splat.

Students have been integrating the theme of pumpkins into their science and reading lessons all month. The pumpkin drop serves as the culminating activity.

Two pumpkins will be dropped per grade level during the event, which is sponsored by the Bradoaks PTA.
