WHAT: In celebration of Latino Heritage Month, Lynwood Unified School District will host a free Health and Wellness Fair on Oct. 7. The event will feature live music, folklorico dancing, photo booth, spa and game trucks, food and the opportunity for families to explore resources and services to support students’ academic and personal success.

DETAILS: Lynwood Unified is proud to celebrate Latino Heritage Month from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, with all schools honoring rich Latino traditions and heritage through special events, celebrations and projects supported by the Equity, Access and Instructional Services Department, which is hosting Saturday’s event with the Student Services Department. During the Health and Wellness fair, families will receive resources on healthy living from partners of the District’s award-winning Health Collaborative, including Baby 2 Baby, Big Smiles Dental and the LA County Department of Mental Health, among others.
