WHAT: Lynwood Unified School District will host graduation ceremonies celebrating the academic achievements of its Class of 2019.

Marco Antonio Firebaugh High School will hold a ceremony for its 295 graduating seniors and Lynwood High School will celebrate nearly 400 graduating seniors.

Both ceremonies will feature speeches from valedictorians, salutatorians and performances from their school bands.

WHEN: 6 p.m. Thursday, June 13: Firebaugh High School ceremony, Lynwood Unified Field.
6 p.m. Friday, June 14: Lynwood High School ceremony, Lynwood Unified Field.

MORE: Vista High School will also graduate nearly 200 students on June 12 to put the District’s total graduates near 900.

The graduating seniors from the Class of 2019 will attend prestigious colleges around the country, including University of California, Berkeley, USC and Rice University.

Firebaugh’s valedictorian is Xochitl Ayala, who earned a 4.34 GPA. Salutatorian is Andy Ramirez, who has a 4.33 GPA.

Lynwood High School’s valedictorian is Fabrizio Castaneda, who boasts a 4.49 GPA. Alan Lopez is the salutatorian with a 4.48 GPA.
