WHAT: Wayne Ruble Middle School will celebrate its California Schools to Watch listing with city officials, District personnel, teachers, students and staff during a special campus ceremony.

Wayne Ruble’s band and cheerleaders will perform amid speeches from the Fontana Unified superintendent, a California League of Schools representative and Wayne Ruble’s principal and ASB president.

DETAILS: Wayne Ruble Middle School and Southridge Middle School are among 16 newly designated schools in the state to earn a spot on the list this year.

Launched by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform, the list identifies schools that promote academic excellence, responsiveness to early adolescence and social equity, among other facets.
