WHAT: Southridge Middle School will conclude Fontana Unified’s celebration of its California Schools to Watch honorees with a campus ceremony featuring District leaders, teachers, students and staff.

Southridge’s band, choir and cheerleaders will perform amid speeches from the Fontana Unified superintendent, Southridge’s Teacher of the Year and ASB president, and a Schools to Watch program representative.

DETAILS: Southridge Middle School and Wayne Ruble Middle School are among 16 newly designated schools in the state to earn a spot on the list this year.

Launched by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform, the list identifies schools that promote academic excellence, responsiveness to early adolescence and social equity, among other facets.
