WHAT: Fontana Unified School District students will showcase their art during the District’s second annual Film Festival, featuring an evening of standout pieces that illustrate the growth of FUSD’s Career Technical Education (CTE) TV Production pathways. Awards will be presented in categories ranging from Avant Garde to screenwriting and from live-action dramas to news story packages.

DETAILS: Fontana Unified’s inaugural Film Festival received more than 135 submissions in May 2023. This year, students submitted their original creations to the FUSD Film Festival in more than 20 award categories, including narrative film, music video, comedy, stop motion, commercial, documentary, and more, during the submission period from March 1 to April 1.

The award categories are separated by elementary, middle, high school, and alumni submissions. FUSD alumni who continued filmmaking after high school were also eligible to submit any format of a production they created post-graduation. Finalists for the Film Festival will be announced on April 24.
