WHAT:                 Fontana Unified School District will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of Oak Grove Preparatory Academy, providing a first look inside the District’s newest and most innovative secondary campus before the first cohort of students arrives this fall.

Following the ceremony, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour highlighting the school’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) labs, robotics and fabrication spaces, media production studios, graphic design studio, collaborative learning areas, research hub, gymnasium, and outdoor learning spaces.

DETAILS:             Oak Grove Preparatory Academy represents a new approach to secondary education in Fontana, combining college preparation, career technical education, and flexible learning opportunities within a purpose-built campus designed for today’s learners.

Following the Board of Education’s approval of a $408 million school construction bond that appeared on the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election, Oak Grove Preparatory Academy reflects Fontana Unified’s commitment to improving and modernizing classrooms while providing essential resources to better prepare students for college and future careers. Opening this fall for students in grades 6 through 10, the school will feature early career technical education exploration, dual enrollment opportunities, and specialized learning environments.
