WHAT: Students in the Fontana Unified Theater Conservatory will perform in the California Theatre of the Performing Arts’ upcoming showcase of “Matilda the Musical.” The FUSD Theater Conservatory partners with the California Theatre of the Performing Arts to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their talents and gain real-world stage experience in a professional production. The general public can purchase tickets to “Matilda the Musical” through Ticketmaster.

DETAILS: Fontana Unified’s Theater Conservatory is part of the District’s career technical education programming that provides students with an opportunity to work with professionals in theater and gain firsthand experience in the industry. Through this program, students build their portfolios and explore careers in the performing arts.

FUSD Theater Conservatory students will also participate in performances of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” from April 11 to 13 at the California Theatre of the Performing Arts. The District theater program made history as one of the first high school theater programs in the country to secure the rights to “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition,” which ran between Jan. 27 and Feb. 2.
