DETAILS: Randall Pepper’s robotics team qualified for the national championships during a regional competition in May 2022 and are seeking a return trip to Europe after participating in the WRO Friendship International tournament in Aarhus, Denmark in August 2019. Although the robotics team members are now all sixth-graders attending Truman Middle School, they will represent Randall Pepper in these WRO championship tournaments.

Southridge Tech Middle School students will also vie for the opportunity to showcase their skills at the international level. Among Southridge Tech’s breadth of rigorous and engaging learning opportunities is a series of budding career technical education pathways, including robotics, esports and more.

Robotics teams will compete against each other using autonomous robots they have designed, constructed, and programmed. Robots must be able to solve specific challenges on the field and make its own decisions during the run.
