WHAT: Chaparral Elementary School will hold a parent information meeting on its partnership with Code to the Future, which provides rigorous, immersive computer science curricula.

Parents and community members are invited to learn about the goals and benefits of Code to the Future and observe coding demonstrations from Chaparral students.

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 23, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

DETAILS: Code to the Future curriculum aims to teach valuable life skills, such as critical thinking and problem solving, through three cycles of computer science instruction: block coding, robotics and scripted code.

Chaparral Elementary is one of the first Code to the Future schools in the Inland Empire.
