EL MONTE – El Monte Union High School District (EMUHSD) and Rosemead High School (RHS) have been recognized among the top three favorite school districts and public high schools in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune (SGVT) Readers’ Choice Awards, an achievement that reflects the District’s unwavering commitment to success and dedication of all students, teachers, staff and parents.

The SGVT Readers’ Choice Awards celebrate excellence in education across the San Gabriel Valley region, and acknowledge institutions that have demonstrated extraordinary academic programs, innovative teaching practices and a profound impact on the lives of students.

Rosemead High School has been voted a top three favorite high school for providing a holistic approach to learning and an inclusive environment where students thrive academically, socially and emotionally. RHS provides students with a variety of clubs and activities geared toward leadership and community service such as California Scholarship Foundation, National Honor Society, Sea Perch, Key Club, Sisters Achieving Greatness Art Truth Health and Service Club, Brothers Achieving Greatness Art Truth Health and Service Club and more.

“This recognition validates the commitment that our school community has made to ensuring our students are supported in all aspects of their lives,” RHS principal Janine Salanitro said. “I want to thank our staff, students and families for their hard work, support and dedication in making RHS a top high school in the San Gabriel Valley.”

El Monte Union has been recognized among the top three school districts for its commitment to excellence and equity in education. The District has continuously fostered a positive school culture and academic rigor for its students by providing top-tier academic, arts and athletic programs, career technical education pathways, social and emotional support through its wellness centers offered throughout the District, state-of-the-art facilities and innovative technology.
