WHAT: Covina-Valley Unified School District will distribute free school supplies and provide complimentary access to essential services during its “Back to School Extravaganza.” Backpacks stuffed with school supplies will be provided to C-VUSD students in need on a first-come, first-served basis.
During the event, families can enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast and professional haircuts, just in time for the first day of school. Families will also have access to free health screenings, mental health resources, and more from the District’s Student Services team of counselors, social workers, and nurses.

DETAILS: Covina-Valley Unified partnered with the Covina Kiwanis and Sunrise Rotary of Covina clubs to host a “Stuff the Bus” fundraiser for the “Back to School Extravaganza.” All three organizations gathered community donations at the Eastland Center Walmart in West Covina on July 29.
The C-VUSD Health and Wellness Center and Family Resource Room is a full-service location where District students and families can access a variety of resources. The Center serves as the hub for the District’s social workers and the entire Health and Student Services Department, including a team of registered and licensed vocational nurses.
