WHAT: South El Monte High School will host a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the launch of construction of its quad renovation project. The quad renovation will include the new addition of a concrete stage, seat walls, walkways and pavers, trees and landscaping, electric and audio connections, and outdoor furnishing including benches, tables and trash receptacles.

DETAILS: In October 2021, the District’s Board of Trustees approved a new round of funding from the Deferred Maintenance Fund 14 and the Measure HS Bond to support several facilities improvements on every campus.
This is the first of many projects that will be taking place at South El Monte, with future projects such as classroom modernizations, installation of HVAC at the gymnasium, and enhancements to the administration and library buildings.
