Bell Gardens High School is empowering students to focus less on hate and bullying and more on tolerance and reform through its SHADES Teen Court program.  SHADES, or Stopping Hate and Delinquency by Empowering Students, is a modified version of the Los Angeles Teen Court early intervention program that provides an opportunity for juveniles who commit first-time, non-serious crimes to be questioned, judged and sentenced by a jury of their peers.
