WHAT: The Baldwin Park Unified Board of Education will consider adopting its 2015-18 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), which outlines the district’s vision for educational improvements over three years, sets annual goals and lists actions to achieve those goals.

WHEN: 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 23

WHERE: Baldwin Park Unified School District, District Administration Center, 3699 N. Holly Ave., Baldwin Park

DETAILS: The plan is a key component of the state’s Local Control Funding Formula, adopted in 2013. The district’s first plan was adopted in June 2014 and focused on Baldwin Park Unified’s transition to the California Common Core State Standards, providing access to new instructional materials and preparing students for online assessments. District leaders updated the LCAP over the course of the year with input from students, parents, staff and community members. The new plan includes a review of the district’s progress during its first year.
