WHERE: Community Now, 14340 Elsworth St., Suite 112, Moreno Valley 92553

DETAILS: Community Now’s Moreno Valley Safe Routes to School program encompasses 28 elementary schools in the Moreno Valley and Val Verde School Districts, encouraging families to leave their cars at home and walk or ride a bicycle to school. Community Now works exclusively with the districts to promote Walk/Roll Days and Bicycle Rodeos throughout the school year that are fun, healthy and educational while helping bring diverse communities together.

Essential to the Safe Routes to School program are community volunteers committed to the safety and education of school children, to provide leadership and act as liaisons between their neighborhoods and the school sites as certified California crossing guard assistants.
