WHAT: West Covina Unified’s Orangewood Elementary will hold a meet and greet for its Mandarin Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program, providing families the opportunity to learn more about the program before it launches on Aug. 15.

The event is open to any families interested in enrolling in the inaugural kindergarten class. Parents can meet their child’s DLI teacher, learn about the benefits of bilingualism and biliteracy and tour the campus.

DETAILS: Orangewood Elementary – part of the International World Schools of West Covina – incorporates DLI instruction into the school’s rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program, a globally focused education pathway.

Students can continue in both programs through the International World Schools of West Covina, which offer California’s only TK-12 IB Continuum.

West Covina Unified is a state-certified District of Choice, accepting students from across the region.
