WHAT: Families from across the San Gabriel Valley are invited to West Covina Unified’s Orangewood Elementary Parent Information Night to learn about the benefits of the school’s new Mandarin Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program, which is now enrolling for its 2019-20 kindergarten class.

Parents can meet Orangewood’s principal and learn how the school fosters
an academic culture of biliteracy and bilingualism and prepares students for lifelong academic success.

West Covina Unified is a state-certified District of Choice, accepting students from across the region.

Families will also learn about Orangewood’s Spanish Dual Language Immersion program, which serves transitional kindergarten through fourth grade.

Orangewood incorporates DLI instruction into the school’s rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program, a globally focused education pathway. Students can continue in both programs through the District’s TK-12 IB Continuum.
