WHAT: Inglewood Unified School District will host three graduation ceremonies celebrating the academic achievements of its Class of 2019.

City Honors College Preparatory Academy will hold a ceremony for its 96 graduating seniors; Morningside High School will celebrate 207 seniors and Inglewood High School will graduate a class of 230.

Commencement ceremonies will include school band performances, speeches from valedictorians and salutatorians as well as Inglewood Unified State Administrator Dr. Thelma Meléndez de Santa Ana.

WHEN: 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 5: City Honors College Preparatory Academy ceremony
8 a.m. Thursday, June 6: Morningside High School ceremony
11 a.m. Thursday, June 6: Inglewood High School ceremony

WHERE: Los Angeles Southwest College
1600 W. Imperial Hwy., Los Angeles

DETAILS: Graduating seniors from the three schools will attend prestigious colleges, including California Institute of Technology, UCLA and Loyola Marymount University.

City Honors College Preparatory Academy senior Erick Jimenez Berumen is the school’s valedictorian with a 4.24 GPA. Teresa Sanchez is the salutatorian with a 4.12.

At Morningside High, Marisol Zavala is the school’s valedictorian with a 4.31 GPA, while Evan Hardin is the salutatorian with a 4.29. Inglewood High’s Ada Ngene Okereke is the valedictorian with a 4.43 GPA and Caterra Smith is the salutatorian with a 4.27.
