WHAT: Baldwin Park Unified School District will promote holiday-time mental health and wellness during a special event featuring an eclectic mix of world champion boxers, referees, announcers, radio show hosts, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman and special guest U.S. Rep. Grace Napolitano.

WHEN: Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015; 3:30 to 5 p.m.: Pre-event food booths and health awareness vendors; 5 to 7 p.m.: Main event

WHERE: Sierra Vista High School Gymnasium, 3600 N. Frazier St., Baldwin Park

DETAILS: Hosted in collaboration with the World Boxing Council, the event is billed as a celebration of life, love and boxing. Guests include boxing champions Leo Santa Cruz, Israel Vasquez, Carlos Palomino, Josesito Lopez, Daniel Ponce DeLeon, Victor Ortiz, Seniesa Estrada, Wayne McCullough, Ruben Castillo, announcers Jimmy Lennon Jr. and Joe Martinez, radio hosts Erika Garza and Tattoo, referee Jack Reiss and actor Yancey Arias.

The event is free to Baldwin Park Unified students and families. Tickets must be picked up in advance at Sierra Vista High School. For more information, call 626-960-7741.
