WHAT: Students from Baldwin Park Unified elementary schools will walk and bike to school to raise awareness of the need to create safer routes for walking and bicycling and to emphasize the importance of issues such as increasing physical activity among children, pedestrian safety, traffic congestion and concern for the environment.

Walk/Bike/Roll to School Day is a collaboration between the District, the City of Baldwin Park and Bike San Gabriel Valley.

WHEN: 7 to 8 a.m. Thursday, May 10

WHERE: At Baldwin Park Unified’s 13 elementary schools

DETAILS: The event will build connections between families, schools and the broader community. Students will be eligible to win opportunity drawing prizes that include LED lights and helmets.
