The first day of school is filled with excitement and anticipation for many students. However, the children at Lynwood Unified’s Washington and Lincoln elementary schools have a little something extra to look forward to – brand new classroom buildings that have replaced dozens of outdated portable classrooms. The projects are funded under the Measure K facilities bond, which is allowing Lynwood Unified to repair and renovate its facilities. The media is invited to witness students at Lincoln Elementary seeing their new classrooms and renovated campus for the first time at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 25.
