WHAT: More than 400 Paramount High School female students will seek to be inspired as they connect with successful professionals at the inaugural Paramount Unified Young Women’s Empowerment Conference.

The event will feature special guest speakers as well as workshops that explore topics like healthy relationships, cyber bullying and first-generation challenges.

About 20 presenters will share personal messages of empowerment, including Los Angeles Superior Court judges Connie R. Quinones and Andrea Davalos as well as Paramount Unified Superintendent Dr. Ruth Pérez.

WHEN: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2

WHERE: Paramount High Senior Campus Gymnasium, 14429 Downey Ave., Paramount

DETAILS: The first-year conference also will connect former PHS students with current ones. Alexis Small, an entrepreneur with her own production company, and Davalos are among the alumni presenters. Approximately 13 workshops will be available to attendees, including two conducted in Spanish. Breakfast and lunch will be provided as well as special giveaways.
